Prayer times and countdown on the template

Templates and the editor

There are three blocks for prayer times. They show the times you have set up under Prayer times and update themselves. You don't type any times into the template.

The three blocks

BlockWhat it shows
Countdown“Next prayer” with the name of the next prayer and the time remaining, to the second if you like.
Prayer cardThe time of a single prayer. You place a separate card for each prayer.
BoardThe day's prayers one below the other, with a title if you like.

Placing prayer cards

  1. Step 1:
    Under Blocks, click Prayer card.
  2. Step 2:
In the window, choose the prayer, for example Fajr. Each prayer can only appear once per page; prayers that have already been placed are locked.
  3. Step 3:
To change a card's prayer later, select the card and click it again.

Once you've finished designing a card, Apply style to all cards copies its size and look to all the other prayer cards on the page.

What you can set

  • Countdown: Show seconds, size and colour of the time and the label, outline colour and outline width.
  • Prayer card: Highlight next prayer, Highlight colour, font sizes, colours and glass effect. Under Prayer name, you give a single card its own name.
  • Board: Title, Show title, Highlight next prayer, colours and glass effect.

What the blocks show

  • The names of the prayers come from the Names on the screen setting on the Prayer times page.
  • The countdown counts down to the next prayer. It skips Sunrise. After Isha, it counts down to Fajr on the next day.
  • The board doesn't list Sunrise. If you'd like to show it, place a prayer card for Sunrise.
  • If there are no times for today, the blocks show “--:--”. Why that happens is explained in Why does the screen show “--:--” instead of a time?
