Why does the screen show “--:--” instead of a time?
Prayer timesIf a screen shows “--:--”, it has no prayer time for today. In this case, SadaqaNow never shows example times; it would rather show none at all. The previews in the Studio then show “--:--” too. The most common reasons and what to do:
No time source chosen
Without a time source, there are no times. Open Prayer times and choose a location or Enter manually instead. See Choose the time source.
Nothing has been entered for today
In Manual mode, every day needs an entry. If it's missing, the top of the Prayer times page says “Nothing has been entered for today.” Enter the times and save. If only a single time is missing, the prayer card and the board show “--:--” for that prayer.
Only the countdown shows dashes
After Isha, the countdown counts down to Fajr on the next day. If tomorrow's entry is missing, it shows “--:--:--”. Enter the times for the coming days.
The screen has never had any times
A newly paired screen needs an internet connection once to load the times. After that, it keeps them stored, even without internet. More on this in Are the prayer times correct without internet?
Your community hasn't given an umbrella organisation
With “No umbrella organisation, or a different one”, the Studio doesn't show any prayer times. See Which prayers does the screen show?
