Templates at a glance
Templates and the editorA template determines what can be seen on your screens. You design it in the Studio under Editor. It only appears on the screens once you put it on display.
Where to find your templates
Open Editor in the Studio. The page has two sections:
- Your templates: all the templates you have saved. The template that is currently running is marked “On display”. Once you have six or more templates, a search field appears.
- Gallery: ready-made templates to start from, for example “Classic” or “Sage”. With New template, you start with a blank main page.
If you don't have a template of your own yet, you'll only see the gallery.
What a template is made of
Every template has the same pages:
| Page | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Main page | What the screen shows most of the time, for example prayer times, images, logos and the donate button. |
| Donation start | The first page after tapping donate, with the entry cards. |
| Campaigns | The overview of your campaigns. |
| Local donation | The donation to your community itself. |
| Amount | Entering the amount. |
| Remark | A remark on the donation, followed by payment at the terminal. |
Pages can't be added or deleted. You design the main page freely. On the donation pages, the structure is fixed; there you change colours, the background and sizes. Find out more in Design the donation pages.
Who can edit templates
By default, the roles “Owner”, “Admin” and “Content” can do this. Without this permission, Editor doesn't appear in the Studio. Which role can do what is explained in Which roles are there and what can each one do?
One template for all or one per screen
Normally, all screens show the same template. But you can also give each screen its own. How to do this is explained in Get a template onto your screens.
