Get a template onto your screens
Templates and the editorA template only appears on your screens when it's on display. At most one template is on display for all screens together or, in the Per screen display mode, one for each screen.
How to put a template on display
In the editor, click Put on display. The Studio also saves your changes when you do this. From the overview, it works like this:
- Step 1: Open Editor in the Studio.
- Step 2: Under Your templates, click ⋯ on the template.
- Step 3: Choose Put on display.
The template is then marked “On display”. The previous template stays under Your templates; it's just no longer on display.
All the same or per screen
Under Settings › Screens, choose the Display mode:
| Display mode | Meaning |
|---|---|
| All the same | All screens show the same template. This is the default. |
| Per screen | Each screen shows its own template. |
Nothing is lost when you switch. The templates of both modes stay saved; the Studio only changes which ones the screens show. By default, “Owner” and “Admin” can change the display mode.
A screen without a template only shows “No content assigned yet.” That's why the Studio asks first if a screen would be left without a template after switching. Switch anyway confirms the change.
A separate template for each screen
In Per screen mode, there are tabs above the templates in the Editor: Shared and one for each screen.
- Step 1: Choose the screen's tab.
- Step 2: There, start a template from the gallery or choose an existing one.
- Step 3: Put it on display.
- Step 4: Repeat this for each screen.
You can also choose a screen's template in its detail view under Screens, in the Template row.
