Change your password

You change your password in your account settings under Security. You'll need your current password for this.

How it works

1. 1Step 1:
   Open Settings › Security. From within a community, you reach the settings via your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
2. 2Step 2:
   Next to Password, click Change.
3. 3Step 3:
   Fill in Current password, New password and Repeat new password.
4. 4Step 4:
   If two-factor authentication is switched on, also enter the code from the app. If you don't have your phone to hand, click Use a backup code.
5. 5Step 5:
   Click Change password.

Password then shows “Changed”. SadaqaNow signs you out after five seconds, or straight away with Sign out now. Sign in again with your new password.

Good to know

• The new password has at least 8 characters, upper- and lower-case letters and at least one digit.
• The password can be changed at most twice a day.
• After the change, you're signed out on all devices, including remembered ones. This also ends any sign-in by someone else.
• If you sign in with Google, Password shows “Signed in with Google”. There's nothing to change here then.
