What terms does the Studio use?
Getting startedThe Studio always uses some terms with the same meaning. Here are the most important ones.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Studio | The area where you manage your community on SadaqaNow. It runs in the browser. |
| Community | Your mosque community in the Studio, with its own team, its own screens and its own subscription. |
| Username | Your community's short name, for example @koeln-ehrenfeld. It's part of your community's address in the Studio. |
| Core details | The community's name, legal form, address, and register and tax details. |
| Owner | The person who owns the community in the Studio. Every community has exactly one owner. |
| Role | Determines what a person can do in a community. There are six roles: Owner, Admin, Finance, Content, Screens and Read-only. A person can have several. |
| Setup guide | The checklist at the top right. It shows what's still missing from the setup. |
| Screen | The device in your mosque that shows prayer times and content and accepts donations. |
| Pairing code | The code you use to connect a screen or a terminal to your community. |
| Template | The design a screen shows. It's created in the editor. |
| Display mode | Determines whether all screens show the same template (“All the same”) or each one its own (“Per screen”). |
| Campaign | A donation purpose with its own amounts, for example a winter appeal. |
| Local donation | The donation straight to your community. There's exactly one per community. |
| Terminal | The SumUp card terminal that visitors use to donate by card at the screen. |
| Representatives | The people who represent your community and sign the donation receipts (Zuwendungsbestätigungen). |
| Donation receipt | Confirmation of a donation for the tax office (Finanzamt), officially called a Zuwendungsbestätigung. |
| Tax exemption notice (Freistellungsbescheid) | The notice from the tax office that proves your community's charitable status (Steuerbegünstigung). |
| Basic package | Your community's subscription. One screen is included. |
| Activity log | The list of all changes to your community, with time and person. |
A community's statuses
Words such as Under review, Payment pending or Suspended describe where your community currently stands. They're explained in What statuses can a registration have?
