What do I need to get started?

For the registration, you mainly need your association's details and the tax exemption notice (Freistellungsbescheid) from the tax office (Finanzamt). You only need the devices for the mosque after approval.

For the registration

• your community's name and a username, for example koeln-ehrenfeld
• the legal name, exactly as the community is registered, and the legal form
• for a registered association (e. V.), the register court (Registergericht) and the register number (Registernummer)
• the tax number (Steuernummer)
• the tax exemption notice as a PDF or photo, no larger than 10 MB
• the community's address in Germany
• a contact email address and a phone number

The VAT ID (USt-IdNr.), the notice reference and a website are optional. Which detail is requested in which step is explained in What details and documents do I need for registration?

For the subscription

After approval, the community's owner starts the subscription. You can pay by card, PayPal or SEPA Direct Debit. Find out more in How can I pay, and how do I change the payment method?

For the mosque

• a screen for the mosque. What's involved is explained in What do I need for a screen?
• a SumUp account and a SumUp card terminal if you'd like to accept card donations. Which terminal is suitable is explained in Which card terminals are supported?
• internet in the mosque, for example via Wi-Fi. The screen and the terminal need a connection.

For donation receipts

You enter your community's board, and the chair must be included. You also need a person who signs the donation receipts (Zuwendungsbestätigungen). The signature can be drawn in the Studio or on a phone. For details, see Set up donation receipts.
