What do I need for a screen?
ScreensA screen is a touchscreen device in your mosque that runs the SadaqaNow app. It shows your template with the prayer times and accepts donations through a SumUp card terminal. For the setup to work, the following should be ready.
The device
- An Android touchscreen device with the SadaqaNow app installed. If the app isn't installed yet, please contact SadaqaNow support.
- The device hangs in portrait orientation. The app always runs in portrait mode, and all templates are designed for it.
- A permanent internet connection, for example via the mosque's Wi-Fi.
For donations on the screen
- A SumUp card terminal assigned to the screen. Which card terminals work is explained in Which card terminals are supported?
- A SumUp account connected to your community.
Without an assigned card terminal, the screen won't complete its setup and won't show a template yet. How to connect SumUp and pair a card terminal is explained in Connect the SumUp account and Pair the SumUp Solo with SadaqaNow.
In the Studio
- Your community has been activated. Screens can't be created before that. More on this in Start the subscription after approval.
- You're allowed to manage screens. By default, the roles “Owner”, “Admin” and “Screens” can do this. What each role can do is explained in What roles are there and what can each one do?
- A card terminal can be assigned by the owner, and also by anyone who has “Finance” together with “Admin” or “Screens”. You can create and pair the screen without this permission too. Someone who has it then assigns the card terminal.
