View the history and availability of screens
ScreensIn the history, you can see for each screen when it was reachable and when it wasn't. This lets you spot, for example, whether a screen briefly drops out every night or whether a power cut has hit all screens.
How to open the history
- Step 1: Open Screens in the Studio.
- Step 2: Click History.
For a single screen, the availability for the last 24 hours is also shown in its detail view. From there, History brings you here.
Availability
Each screen has a bar with a percentage next to it. Use 24 hours and 7 days to choose the period.
- Green: The screen was reachable.
- Red: There was an outage in this period.
- Light: There's no data for this time, for example before pairing.
With 24 hours, each period stands for a quarter of an hour; with 7 days, for one hour. Move the mouse over the bar to see the exact time. Even a short outage turns the whole period red. How long it lasted is shown under Events.
Events
Events lists what happened on all screens, newest first.
| Entry | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Offline | The screen isn't reporting in right now. Next to it, you'll see since when. |
| Offline for … | A finished outage with its duration and end time. |
| Back online | The screen is reporting in again. |
| App restarted | The app on the device was restarted. |
| Updated to … | The app was updated to a new version. |
| Screenshot | Someone took a screenshot. Next to it, you'll see who. |
If the same thing affects several screens in the same minute, for example during a power cut, it appears as a single entry with all the names.
Open warnings
If a device reports a problem, it appears at the top under Open warnings, for example “Device too hot” or “Offline for a while”. Open screen takes you to the screen concerned. The same warning also appears as a banner in the image on the Screens page.
