Set up the SumUp Solo
SumUp and card terminalsBefore you pair the SumUp Solo with SadaqaNow, you set it up once: switch it on, choose a language, sign in to your SumUp profile and connect it to Wi-Fi. SumUp's video shows the steps in just over a minute. The video is in German.
Playing the video loads it from YouTube. This transfers data to YouTube (Google), see our privacy policy.
The steps at a glance
- Step 1: Unpack the Solo and switch it on.
- Step 2: Choose a language.
- Step 3: Sign in to your SumUp profile, that is, with the sign-in details of your community's SumUp account.
- Step 4: Connect the Solo to a Wi-Fi network. The Solo only connects to secure networks.
- Step 5: The Solo then updates itself automatically. This only takes a few minutes.
- Step 6: After that, the Solo is set up and ready to use.
What to have ready
Have the sign-in details of your community's SumUp account ready. You'll also need the name and password of the Wi-Fi network the Solo is to connect to in the mosque.
Why the Solo needs internet
The Solo receives every payment that starts at the screen via the internet. It therefore needs a permanent internet connection, for example via the mosque's Wi-Fi. There's no cable to the screen.
The next step
Now pair the Solo with SadaqaNow. For this, the Solo shows a pairing code that you enter in the Studio. How to do this is explained in Pair the SumUp Solo with SadaqaNow.
