Continue a registration you've started

As soon as you complete the first step of the registration with Continue, the Studio creates a draft. Each further step is saved when you click Continue. If you close the window, you can carry on later where you left off.

Finding your draft again

   Open the Studio.

   Your draft appears under Pending items as “Registration of” followed by the community's name. If you don't have any other community yet, it appears on the “Almost there” page.
3. 3Step 3:
   Click Continue. The registration opens at the first step where something is still missing.

Next to the draft, you can see how many steps are done and how much time is left.

The one-hour time limit

A draft expires one hour after it was created. The Studio shows the time remaining as “Expires in” with minutes and seconds. Below 30 minutes the display turns yellow, and below 10 minutes it turns red. Once the time is up, the draft is deleted and the username becomes available again. You then start again from the beginning and also upload the tax exemption notice (Freistellungsbescheid) again.

The time limit exists because a draft occupies the username. Without it, an abandoned attempt would block a name forever.

Discarding a draft

If you don't want to continue, click Discard next to the draft and confirm when asked. The draft is deleted immediately, and the username becomes available again.
