Set up the local donation

The local donation is the general donation to your community, without a specific purpose. Every community has exactly one. You set it up in the Studio under Campaigns. Once it's switched on, it appears on all screens straight away.

Before you start

• Your community has been approved.
• You have the “Owner” or “Finance” role. Only these two roles can create donations. Find out more in Who can do what with donations?

How it works

If you haven't set up any donation yet, the Campaigns page shows the Set up local donation form straight away. If there are already campaigns, the local donation is at the top of the list with the note “Not set up yet”.

1. 1Step 1:
   Open Campaigns in the Studio. If the local donation is already shown as a row in the list, click Set up there.
2. 2Step 2:
   Enter a Title, for example “Donation for our mosque”.
3. 3Step 3:
   If you like, write a Description.
4. 4Step 4:
   Set the Amounts. The suggested amounts are €10, €20 and €50, plus a custom amount from €5. How this works is explained in Set donation amounts.
5. 5Step 5:
   Leave Show on screens switched on.
6. 6Step 6:
   Click Set up.

Meanwhile, a preview shows you how the screen displays the title and amounts. It changes with every entry you make.

What donors see on the screen

After tapping “Donate now”, two cards appear. The “Local donation” card leads to your local donation with its title and amounts. As long as no local donation is switched on, the card shows “Not available” and can't be tapped. You design the text and image of this card in the editor, see Design the entry cards.

Making changes later

In the list, click the local donation's row. There you change the title, description and amounts and click Save. You can't create a second local donation.
