What happens to your data when you delete your account?

Privacy and security

When you delete your account, SadaqaNow removes your personal details from the account, ends your memberships and signs you out everywhere immediately. Anything that belongs to a community stays with the community.

What's deleted

  • Name, username, email address, phone, address and date of birth
  • Your organisation and your language
  • Your password, the connection to Google and two-factor authentication including the backup codes
  • Your recent sign-ins and remembered devices
  • All sign-ins on all devices

What happens to your communities

  • Your memberships end automatically in all communities, as if you had left. The community's Activity log records this.
  • Your email address is also removed from the invitations you accepted.
  • You don't have to leave your communities first. You only have to transfer ownership of a community beforehand, otherwise your account can't be deleted.

What's kept

  • Your communities' data, such as donations, campaigns, screens and templates. It belongs to the community.
  • The community's Activity log. It's a record and isn't deleted.
  • Anything we're required by law to keep, such as invoices. Details are in our privacy policy, which is available in German only.

And the community itself?

A submitted community can't be deleted in the Studio. You can only discard a draft yourself. A community whose subscription has ended isn't deleted automatically either. The options are explained in Can I delete a community?
