Invite someone to the team

You invite new people by email under Team in the Studio. The person receives a link, signs in with exactly that address and is then part of your team. That way, everyone works with their own account.

Before you start

• You have the Owner or Admin role in the community.
• Your community has been approved and paid for. Until then, the Studio shows “Inviting isn't possible yet”.

How it works

1. 1Step 1:
   Open the Team tab at the top. From within a community, Team in the sidebar takes you there.
2. 2Step 2:
   Click Invite person.
3. 3Step 3:
   Enter the person's address under Email address.
4. 4Step 4:
   If you manage several communities, choose one or more under Which communities?.
5. 5Step 5:
   Choose at least one role under Roles.
6. 6Step 6:
   Click Send invitation. With several communities, the button is called Invite to 2 communities, for example.

You'll then see for each community whether the invitation was sent. Use Invite another person to carry straight on, or Done to close the form.

What the invited person receives

They receive an email with the subject “Einladung in das Team von …” (Invitation to the … team) and the Einladung annehmen (Accept invitation) button. The invitation is valid for seven days. Until then, it's listed on your side under Pending invitations. What happens next for the person is described in Accept an invitation.

If it doesn't work

• “There's already an open invitation for this email address.” The person has already been invited. Use Resend on the existing invitation.
• A role is missing from the selection: admins can only assign Content, Screens and Read-only. With several communities, only the roles you're allowed to assign in all of the selected communities appear.
